Therefore, stay connected until the end and make sure to subscribe this channel and press the bell icon to Stay connected for more upcoming video tutorials. If you visit any Manufacturing industry, there you will find pneumatic Cylinders moving forward, reverse, and creating a linear motion. That is why some times these cylinders are called as liner actuators. Pneumatic valves are responsible for controlling this linear motion of the cylinders. Pneumatic Solenoid valves are the most important component in the industry to control the linear motion of the pneumatic cylinders by suppling the compressed air to the pneumatic ports of the cylinders. These valves comes in many of the types. Most commonly used solenoid valve is 5/2 way valve. Today we will discuss in detail, how does 5/2 way valve works and try to clear all doubts regarding 5/2 way valve. So, please stick to this video until the end. 5/2 valve have 5 ports and two positions, that’s why we call it 5/2 way valve. No, need to worry we will explain this concept gradually in this video tutorial. 5/2 way valve have 5 ports for the Compressed Air ports. One of these ports is P port, it is pressure port where compressed air enter the valve. There are other two ports, PORT A and PORT B. The Pressure Port P is linked with either Port A or by Port B when the spool inside the Valve moves. So, when the P port is linked with the Port A , the spool blocks The entry of the air towards the Port B. Similarly, when the P port is linked with the Port B , the spool blocks he entry of the air towards the Port A. Spool moves when the solenoid Coil is energized by the signal coming from the PLC. There are other Ports in this Solenoid, which are Exhaust ports , we will discuss about these ports shortly. We will now see how does this 5/2 way valve controls the double acting Pneumatic Cylinder. To Control the linear motion of the cylinder shaft, we will connect the Port A and Port B for the Solenoid Valve to the Ports of the Cylinder with the Pneumatic pipe. When the PLC Signal energies the Coil of the Solenoid valve, its spool moves and links the pressure port with the Port B of the Solenoid valve, and Port A with the Exhaust port. this way the compressed air moves towards the Port B and through pipe it enters the back port of the Cylinder. As compressed air exerts the pneumatic pressure on the piston of the cylinder shaft , it starts to move forward , because of the force of the compressed air. Cylinder shaft moves forward and gets fully extended outwards. Any existing air in the Port A gets exhausted into the Atmosphere as , now the Port A is linked with the Exhaust Port. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When the PLC Signal is turned OFF it de-energies the Coil of the Solenoid valve, its spool moves and links the pressure port with the Port A of the Solenoid valve, and Port B with the Exhaust port. this way the compressed air moves towards the Port A and through pipe it enters the front port of the Cylinder. As compressed air is now exerting the pneumatic pressure on the front side of the piston, it starts to move in backwards direction, because of the force of the compressed air. Cylinder shaft moves backwards and gets fully retracted inside the cylinder body. The compressed air in the opposite side of the shaft piston moves towards the solenoid through the pipes and gets exhausted into the Atmosphere as , now the Port A is linked with the Exhaust Port.

Video, tutorials.

If you visit any manufacturing industry there, you will find the nomadic cylinders moving forward and reverse creating a linear motion that's.

Why? Sometimes these cylinders are called as linear actuators.

Nomadic solenoid valves are the most important component in the industry to control the linear motion of the pneumatic cylinders by supplying the compressed air to the pneumatic ports of the cylinder.

These walls comes in many of the type most commonly used solenoid valve is 5x2 whistle, Night wall today we will discuss in detail.

How does the 5x2 wave Wall Works and try to clear all doubts regarding 5x2 evolved? So please stick to this video Until, the End, five by two-way walls have five ports and two positions that's.

Why we call it 5x2 wave wall, no need to worry.

We will explain all this concept, gradually in this video tutorial 5x2 wave valve have five ports for the compressed air.

One of these ports is p-board.

It is a pressure port where the compressed air enters the valve.

There are two other ports port, a and Port B.

The pressure port is linked with either Port A, or by the port B when the spool inside the valve move.

So when the port p is linked to the port, a the spool blocks, the entry of the air towards the port B.

Similarly, when the port p is linked with the port me, the spool blocks, the empty of the air towards the port a.

How does this pool is moving spool moves when the sunlight coil is energized by the signal coming from the PLC.

There are other ports in the soul Knight, which are exhaust ports.

We will discuss the sports shortly in this video.

We will now see.

How does this 5x2 wave wall control? The double acting pneumatic cylinder to control the linear motion of the cylinder shaft? We will connect the port a and the port B of the sunlight wall to the ports of the cylinder with the pneumatic pipe when the PLC signal energize, the coil of the sunlight wall, its full moves and links the pressure port with the port B of the sunlight valve and port a with the exhaust Port this way, the compressed air moves towards the B and through the pipe, it entered the back Port of the cylinder as the compressed air exerts, the pneumatic pressure on the Piston of the cylinder shaft.

It start to move forward because of the force of the compressed air.

The cylinder shaft move forward and gets fully extended outwards.

There will be some air in the front side of the piston.

This air will slowly leaves the cylinder body and comes towards the port, a through the pipe, any existing air in the port, a gets exhausted into the atmosphere.

As now the port.

A is linked to the exhaust Port.

When the PLC signal is turned off, it re-energizes.

The coil of the sunlight valve it's pool moves and links the pressure port with the port, a of the sunlight valve and the port B with the exhaust Port this way, the compressed air moves towards the port a and through the pipe.

It enters the front Port of the cylinder as the compressed air is now exerting, the pneumatic pressure on the front side of the Piston.

It start to move in the backward Direction because of the force of the compressed air.

The cylinder shaft moves backwards and gets fully retracted inside the cylinder body.

The compressed air in the opposite side of the shaft piston moves towards the solenoid through the pipes and get exhausted into the atmosphere through the port b, as the port B is now linked with the exhaust port.

And this cycle of solenoid valve to turn on and off will continue as the PLC is supplying the signal on its Soul night, well, I hope you liked today's video.

How does a solenoid directional control valve work? ›

A hydraulic solenoid valve is a solenoid controlled directional valve used in a hydraulic system for opening, closing or changing the direction of flow of the liquid. The valve operates with a solenoid, which is an electric coil wound around a ferromagnetic core at its center.

What is a 5 2 way directional control valve solenoid and its part? ›

A 5/2 way single solenoid valves has one input, two output, and two exhaust ports, also known as a 5-port, 2-position single solenoid directional control valve. The single-coil type of 5/2 pneumatic valves usually has a spring or pilot air return so that when de-energized, the valve returns to its starting function.

What is the difference between a directional control valve and a solenoid valve? ›

Difference Between Solenoid Valve and Control Valve

A solenoid valve is an electromechanical device used to control the flow of fluids. A control valve is a mechanical device used to control the flow of fluids. Solenoid valves are more expensive than control valves. Control valves are more durable than solenoid valves.

What is the difference between a solenoid valve and a directional control valve? ›

Air directional control valve has a larger working force than solenoid valve, and maximum working pressure is larger than that of solenoid valve. Switching speed of air directional control valve can be adjusted, structure is simple, and the maintenance is easy.

How do directional control valves move in two directions? ›

Two-position, two-way directional control valves are always normally closed (NC). When a directional control valve is in the closed-center or tandem-center position, the piston in a hydraulic cylinder can move. The spring pressure of the biasing spring in a direct-acting check valve is adjustable.

What is a 5 2 directional control valve in a hydraulic system? ›

A 5/2 way directional valve from the name itself has 5 ports equally spaced and 2 flow positions. It can be use to isolate and simultaneously bypass a passage way for the fluid which for example should retract or extend a double acting cylinder. There are variety of ways to have this valve actuated.

What is the voltage of directional control valve? ›

Solenoid Operated Directional Control Valve

Specifications: Voltage: 12V, 24V, 110V and 230V.

What are the possible faults in a directional control valve? ›

Common signs of faulty valves include slow or erratic movement of actuators, excessive noise or vibration in the system, leakage of fluid from the valve or the actuator, loss of pressure or flow in the circuit, and overheating of the fluid or the components.

What are the basic parts of a directional control valve? ›

Regardless of type, all valves have the following basic parts: the body, bonnet, trim (internal elements), actuator, and packing. The basic parts of a valve are illustrated in Figure 1.

What is the price of 5 2 directional control valve? ›

Buy Airco 1/2 inch 5/2 Way Single Solenoid Valve With 24 DC Coil Online At Price ₹1914.

What is the most common directional control valve? ›

The most common directional control valve is a 4/3-way valve, which means the valve has four working ports and three spool positions. The 2-way directional control valve is the simplest directional control valve that has two ports called inlet and outlet.

What are the examples of directional control valve? ›

The simplest directional control valve is the 2-way valve. A 2-way valve stops flow or allows flow. A water faucet is a good example of a 2-way valve. A water faucet allows flow or stops flow by manual control.

What is the difference between a 3 2 way and 5 2 way solenoid valve? ›

With a 5/2 valve - if port 1 is aerated - air always flows from one of the 2 output ports. In contrast to a 3/2 valve, with a 5/2 valve there is therefore no question of normally closed or normally opened. Port 1 is connected to port 2. At the same time, the return air flows via port 4 to the vent port 5.

What is the function of 5 2 way double pilot pneumatic valve? ›
